About Elizabeth
Elizabeth Fiechter is a 17-year-old visual artist and environmental activist. A graduate of the Università degli Studi di Siena program in partnership with Putney Pre-College in Tuscany, she passed intensive seminars in Drawing & Sketching and the History of Art & Architecture under the tutelage of Lisa Ross Nonken & Irene Lupi (Siena Art Institute) and David Walthall (University of Siena). She has exhibited her portraiture of both human and animal subjects at the Diego River Gallery of the San Francisco Art Institute and at the San Francisco Giants Stadium.
In her spare time, she works in animal husbandry and socialization at small rescues specializing in cat boarding and the hospice of rabbits facing imminent euthanasia. A writer as well as a painter, she is a graduate of the MorningStar Institute in Competition Writing with Dr. Le Van (Fulbright Scholar, La Sorbonne) and Ms. Le Van (Princeton University). Inspired by her experience at the Reykjavik EF Educational Program, her pieces recall the coloristic dreamscapes she encountered at Thingvellir, Seljalandsfoss, and Sólheimajökull.
